When to send it

A few days before the due date, and again on the day if it is still unpaid.

Tip: Keep the tone polite and give a way to reply. A reminder that reads as a demand is more likely to be reported, which lowers your number's quality rating.

How to use it in VartaAPI

  1. Open Templates and press Browse the library.
  2. Find “Payment reminder” and press Use this. The wording and examples fill the form.
  3. Change anything you like (add your business name, a header with an image or document, or buttons), then submit it to Meta for approval.

Why it is written this way

Meta reviews every template before it can be sent. This one never starts or ends with a blank, keeps real words between blanks, gives an example for each blank, and sits in the category that matches what it says (utility, because it is about something the customer already did or asked for). Those are the common reasons templates are turned down. Meta still decides; if it refuses, VartaAPI shows the reason in plain words.
